What sets River Drifters apart?

Access to Oregon & Washington’s Top Rivers

Access to Oregon & Washington’s Top Rivers

When you raft with River Drifters, you gain access to nine of Oregon and Washington’s best whitewater rivers. Whether you’re experienced or a beginner, you can find a trip that meets your skill level, time commitment, and sense of adventure. The longer your trip, the more time you’ll have to explore side canyons, go fishing or swim in the clear, glacier-fed waters.

Experienced, Friendly Guides

Experienced, Friendly Guides

River Drifters is locally owned and family operated which means any of our guides have been working with us for decades or more. They are diverse and interesting people who have a passion for rivers and guiding. We take risk management very seriously. Our guides are accomplished in outdoor skills, trained in first aid, CPR and river rescue, and knowledgeable about the natural and cultural history of the area. They carry communication devices on the river so that they can contact the authorities and the River Drifters office in the case of an emergency.

Top-Quality Gear

Top-Quality Gear

Listen–Gear can make or break any outdoor trip and rafting is no exception. River Drifters provides guests with splash jackets, PFDs and, when necessary, 2-3 mil “farmer John”-style wetsuits and neoprene booties. We use only well-maintained, high-quality rafts and inflatable kayaks. The river and water flow as well as the group size dictate the type of raft we use for each trip. The majority of the time, we use paddle rafts that carry 6 to 8 people and one guide. We limit trip sizes to ensure that guests have a comfortable and fun experience. On request, we can bring inflatable kayaks on our rafting trips. On overnight trips, we provide guests with dry bags to ensure a dry and well-deserved night’s sleep after a long day on the water.

Hearty Meals

Hearty Meals

No matter how short or long your trip, you’ll work up an appetite when rafting with us. River Drifters is committed to providing guests with hearty, delicious meals that typically include meats, cheeses, fresh fruits and veggies, and something to please your sweet tooth. We are more than happy to accommodate guests with special dietary restrictions. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have food intolerances or allergies.
