We are OPEN and running our river trips with new guidelines.
As always, the health and well-being of our guests, guides, staff, and communities is our top concern.
Briefly, you can expect the following:
- Face coverings (buffs, N95/cloth masks, bandanas) are REQUIRED on the shuttle, on-site, and in some situations on the raft.
- All employees complete daily health screening.
- Our guides wear buffs while guiding and drivers wear buffs while in vehicles.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and rotation of all river trip gear daily.
- Frequent and enhanced sanitation of restrooms, changing rooms, vehicles, offices, doors, counters, and high-touch areas.
Distancing – Our guides will be avoiding other groups on the river. At our offices and outposts, we have large areas for groups to separate from one another and be able to participate in pre-trip and post-trip activities.
Private Boats – We encourage groups to fill a raft with either immediate family or close friends so that there is a higher likelihood your group will have a private trip. You may fill a raft (5-6 people plus your guide on the White Salmon and Clackamas Rivers or 6-8 people plus your guide on the Deschutes River) or pay for a private raft if you choose.
Overnight Trips – Groups may have a private raft with five or more people, however, there may be other groups on the same trip. Camp set-up will be orientated in a manner of maintaining distance from other groups. We will require continuous hand washing/sanitizing for all guests and staff.
Transportation – Half and full-day trips may have mixed groups traveling a short distance to and from the river. Face coverings need to be worn at all times on vehicle shuttles. Most vehicles will have open windows to allow fresh air to circulate.
Reservation Process – In the past we allowed many guests to simply pay the day of the trip and fill out waivers/assumption of risk forms the day of the trip. We now are asking everyone to complete our online waivers and pay in advance online to create a touch-less check-in process.
Health Screening Questionnaire – At the time of reservation, a health screening questionnaire is to be completed for each participant. These questions include the common symptoms for COVID-19.
We are asking anyone in the high-risk group to either charter a private trip or to join us for an adventure at a different time.
Please cooperate with these new guidelines so that we can all get outside responsibly!
Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns about COVID-19.
