When you book a private \trip with River Drifters you get the option to tailor the trip to fit your needs. Maybe you want an adults only trip for you and your friends, or you and a few families would like a private trip to vacation together, or you are planning a company retreat. Whatever the reason, you will have the comfort of sharing life-long memories with friends, families, and co-workers whether it is on one of our day trips or one of our overnight excursions!

Depending on which trip you want to go on and the time of year you want to go will determine how many spaces we can accommodate. The maximum number of spaces available for each river varies according to agency regulations. For example, a Deschutes Multi Day Trip can accommodate a group of 13-15, but a Deschutes Full Day Trip can accommodate 60 or more people.

Those looking for just a private boat on one of our trips would just need to reserve the amount of spaces each boat can fill. For example, on the Deschutes you would reserve all 8 available spaces, and on the White Salmon you would reserve all 6.

We offer unique experiences for all kinds of groups. With over 5 decades of experience, we are easily able to accommodate large groups or entire teams depending on the trip. Our trips range from a quick 3 hour adventure to a 5 day 4 night excursion! From student groups to active adults, we have the itinerary suitable for your groups’ needs. We also have fantastic private trip options available!

Groups of 24+

For groups of 24 or more, please note that final group size numbers and payments are due two weeks prior to your scheduled trip date. We recommend not overbooking, as organizing large trips requires us to commit significant gear, guides, and space that could otherwise be reserved for other guests. By reserving these spots, you are entering into a formal agreement with us regarding these resources.

We are frequently asked whether it is appropriate to tip your guide. While our guides are well compensated for their skills and our high level of service is not exercised in order to receive a tip, if you feel that your trip was exceptional, or that your guide(s) went out of their way to make the quality of your experience a notch above the norm, tipping is a nice way of saying thank you! The accepted service industry standard is between 10–20% of the total trip cost.
