North Santiam River Rafting Near Salem

The North Santiam River is located just 30 miles from Salem, Oregon, making it a convenient and popular destination for people from the Willamette Valley. The North Santiam offers a great adventure for groups of all sizes, and its Class III rapids make it a fun and comfortable trip for the entire family. This beautiful river is lined with beautiful trees and offers scenic views and a relaxing atmosphere.

The North Santiam River is a true autumn treat, with beautiful colors and playful rapids. Some of the most challenging rapids that you’ll paddle through include the Swirlies, Carnivore, Spencer’s Hole and Mill City Falls.

River Drifters offers full-day trips on the North Santiam River in September and October, and additional dates are available upon request. We provide all of the necessary gear to ensure a safe and comfortable trip (including wetsuits and paddle jackets if needed). We typically meet at 10:00 am and are off the river by 4:00 pm. All trips end with a healthy riverside lunch.

Who Can Go

The North Santiam River is ideal for large groups of any size, including families. The minimum age for the North Santiam is four in the summer months (August to mid-September) and 12 during the fall (mid-September to October).

What We Provide

River Drifters provides all the necessary gear to help you stay warm and comfortable during your adventure (wetsuits, paddle jackets and helmets).
