The Clackamas River

Just 30 miles from Portland is some of the most thrilling whitewater and beautiful scenery that you can find.  The Clackamas River has some of the most exciting flows in the Spring and Early Summer months with many big, fun and splashy class III-IV rapids.  The water drops as the temps get warmer and the later Summer trips are reduced to half-day quick tips with splashy and playful rapids.

White Salmon River 

A little over an hour from Portland is one of the best runs on the West coast.  Spring flows will great you will powerful and fun whitewater and later in the Summer the flows drop and the infamous ten foot waterfall Husum Falls opens up for rafting.  In addition, later in the Summer, River Drifters ads another 1.5 miles of very exciting III-IV rapids in on the of the most beautiful sections of river around.  Combine the upper section of river with Husum Falls and you have the most exciting and best half-day trips on the Northwest.  A very scenic drive through the Columbia River Gorge will give you a perfect opportunity to stop by Multnomah Falls, one of the many hikes, wineries or a brewery to visit.

Deschutes River
